Hi, just found out about the site. Great work on the e-mails, there must be a hell of a lot people out there who're carrying some mighty big chips on their shoulders over the Manly side. Makes you wonder what they do in the off season doesn't it.

For all those people out there who've accused Nik Kosef of being a thug and that finally the ARL have done something about the dangerous tackling employed against any kicker who plays against Manly, does anybody else remember about 4 to 5 years when Ron Gibbs was playing for Western Suburbs and started doing that to the Manly team?

The ARL's reply at the time was "there's nothing in the rules that says it's illeagal". While your down memory lane, the consensus of opinion was "Manly are whinging about something that's fair, isn't typical of them". Funny how time changes people's perceptions of what's fair.

If these people get so irate over Manly being in the Comp., let them, after all, we true supporters know how good the team is. Let the others find out the hard way.

To all you true and intelligent supporters of the best team in the best comp Manly,may we all look forward to another great grand final and of course a Manly victory. I have supported Manly since 89 when the greatest sport in the world came to my tv screen in NZ,with the greatest players in the world. As a kiwi many people naturally think I would follow the disgrace of a side called Auckland but as I follow decent players that is not the case. If I was in charge I would axe the Warriors from any comp as the only kiwi worth worrying about plays for the eagles. ARL IS FAR SUPERIOR to super touch where tackles are few and far between and and the toss of the coin not only decides which way they go but also who wins. I am so glad my comments on Stefan Menzies have caused such an uproar on your comments page. I always enjoy reading biased comments of one eyed, egotistical supporters. Anyone who thinks any Manly player is good looking has to have their head read. Also, adding to the avid manly haters comment, how could menzies get a nickname like beaver? Can he build dams well or something? If its meant to be funny not only are you weird but you have a weird sense of humour as well. Anyway keep your comments coming. Just a suggestion, but maybe you should copy over, along with people's comments, their email addresses. This would allow everyone to know who they are (and where they can be reached)! As a Manly supporter I get sick of reading anti-Manly garbage on your Manly homepage which has been conveniently left unsigned. Don't those idiots have anywhere else to go? It all gets a bit tiresome for we Manly supporters who are used to playing "sticks and stones" with those who have a dislike for our team. Print their email addresses, Bryan, so we can all send them greetings next Monday, and pledge our donations to pay for paint remover for Chris Matheson's red and blue Newcastle house.

Get ready for your dissapointment on Sunday. Newcastle will beat you by about 30 points and if Johns plays they will beat you by 60. Try your hardest, and then try harder. By that stage you might be able to see the scoreboard which reads : Newcastle 64 Manly 4. I'm sure all of the 20 Manly supporters that are in Sydney will be dissapointed. May Manly live in the doldrums FOREVER.

Thanks for the web page. Being in Brisbane it is near impossible to find out much about the Mighty Sea-Eagles, (our media is pony biased and driven by a news corp paper) other than some recent articles as to why silly league need Manly to add some passion and competition to their comp. (Maybe they are starting to wonder if it was worth $300,000,000 to help to ponies win a cup because they could win the original comp).

I've put up with ribbing, verbal abuse at games (gee the Gold Coast crowd laid it on), and a lot of rubbish because of my loyalty, but I could never stop following the greatest team of all.

Well done against the chooks, (who really should have been your opponents this week), and show us for the fourth time this year how to beat the pretender knights.

Also just a wrap for Shannon Nevin, well done in the firsts this year, you've improved so much, keep on that golden conversation and penalty boot, and congrats to Craig Field who finally has come into his own in the hallowed no "7" jersey just at the right time.

Go guys, do us all proud in the big one.

Well here they go again. Know why everyone hates Manly? - Tall poppy syndrome. It is the same hatred all Manly supporters have for the Broncos, but it is the hatred and the passion that makes the game so great.

Good luck to the Newcastle boys on Sunday, I have a soft spot for the sentimental favourties, and if we have to lose the grand final this year, I guess that I would rather lose it to Newcastle than any other team. You've played hard and played well this year.

BUT, the mighty Sea Eagles - may they reign supreme once more. And may there be one competition next year so we can kick some Bronco ass.

I hope Manly go down by 20 points on Sunday. I live in Narrabeen, right in the middle of Sea Eagle Territory and I am fed up with the attitude the Manly team has. Their heads are way too big and they think they are unbeatable. Is this the same Manly team that lost to Wests and Drew with the Gold Coast ? I hope 30,000 Novocastrians make the trek from Newcastle and come and give support to the Knights and in particular the Johns' Boys who will run over Toovey and that dickhead Craig Field. This is what my instructions to the Knights would be:

Being a Manly supporter for 19 and a half years, I am very proud that "my boys" have once again made it to the Grand Final. I have copped a lot of flack for living in the Illawarra area and not following them and for folowing Manly (a team that nearly eveyone loves to hate). This weekend, OUR team will do us proud as they will play as a team destined for greatness and will show the world that the ARL competition is the only competition. For the boys: you have all my support, now and forever. Toovey: You are the best captain that a team can have. Nevin: Where have you been hiding?

There are many people in the Illawarra area who are supporting Manly this week and weekend. With all our loyal support, they will win for the second year in a row. GOOD LUCK

Firstly I would like to congratulate Brisbane. Knowing they could never beat Manly, they set up their own competition made up of the also rans from last year and then they won it ! Well done fellas, even if you have nearly destroyed Rugby League in the process.

Secondly I want to congratulate the Manly team on a tremendous performance on Sunday. They were clearly the dominate team throughout, especially around the ruck and credit must go to Sydney City for hanging on (even if nearly all their points came from ex Manly players. I still think Elsegood is one of the few players I have seen Manly lose who I would rather have seen kept.)

Lastly a comment on Lyons best ever Manly team. I have only followed Manly from 82 and so am not sure I can comment with authority on your team but I am surprised that if Fulton is at centre that your name sake is not the five eighth. Cliff Lyons has been setting up and occasionally scoring Manly tries for over a decade (he did it again on Sunday with his beautifully placed and timed pass to Terry Hill.) Conceivably he could win his second medal for being the player of the grand final next Sunday, exactly ten years after his first one! In my memory no one has contributed so much, so often, over so long to Manly.

I lied when I said the last bit was my last comment. Because here is my last comment. GO ONCE AGAIN THE MIGHTY EAGLES. THE BEST CLUB AND THE BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD.

Whether you're a Manly fan or not, I'm sure many will agree, that the ARL, is THE premier Rugby League Competition. Before the weekend, the ARL had FOUR teams that were truly premiership possibles.

Saturday's Super boring Grand Final, was scripted 18 months ago. Coach of the Year, Wayne Bennett, orginised his award just after that. Laurie Daley did well to act so suprised, as his award was part of his sign-on agreement.

Well done Stuper League, your vision for a close competition where we have State of Origin intensity games every week, with closer score lines is certainly a vision created with blind greed. At the same time, you have managed to completely screw the sport that is your income. We now have a seperate Brisbane owned premiership, where Brisbane wins and Brisbane wins.

Everybody was swaying towards the idea of a two tier ARL comp. Thanks to Rupert for the finance, and Ribot for the management to make the B division a reality.

What are Stupid League trying to prove? They had their Grand Final last week and, in an effort to spoil the ARL's party, are having a second test match against NZ this Friday (the first one being nearly 6 months ago)! Don't they realise by now that the showpiece of rugby league is the domestic Grand Final game each year and that a one-sided test match against NZ scheduled for this weekend is just going to highlight the fact that the best games are those played between Australian sides? Wasn't their best game the final of the so-called Tri-Series which was really like a State of Origin game between NSW & Qld? Surely the World Club Challenge has shown them that the only place rugby league is really competitive is in Australia. Get real, Murdoch, News Ltd and cronies. This week the only talk will be of Sunday's huge game, our Manly vs the thugs from Newcastle. No-one's gonna be thinking too much about your silly game in NZ.

Great game boys but no need to make it quite so close next week!!! Anthony Colella you are a legend. Danny Moore had better do some practice taking the high ball for next week. Jim Serdaris keep your fingers crossed for Monday night at the judiciary...it looked pretty bad from where we sat. Go the Eagles....keep your mind on the football and stop arguing with the ref and it will be two grand finals in a row!

Manly supporters are all full of themselves. They have to be the most rude and arrogant supporters who have massive egos. Comments such as Manly knockers are just jealous is just one example of how they're so full of themselves. Anyone who endorses a team that promotes foul play-like charging down the kicker- and who patrinise opposing players- patting them on the head- has to have their mind read. The fights which Mark Carrol gets himself into are a good example of how Manly are a team which will do anything to win-even if it means going against everything the game of Rugby League stands for. They are the ones which give rugby league the bad name-not super league- for they are the ones which make the matches slow and give in their ball skills to their punching skills.

I also agree with the Parramatta supporter about your comments on Seve Menzies. Her nickname Stefan seems to fit perfectly well. How the hell did he develop the name Beaver? And to those who believe he had a better body than Brad Pitt well as I have saide before, it probably refers back to the fact that you are Manly Supporters and you all need your head reads! If Manly make it to the Grand Final, it will be by no means a fair entrance and if they dso than I can only pray that the Johns boys get them back for everthing they've done. How would you like to see the Manly kickers charged down and severly injured.

And as for Manly winning the premiership last year- that was just a joke. They only won by playing unfaily and so by no means can you call them the best in the world for I do not believe dishonesty is better than honesty and all the Super League clubs are honest. Have you ever heard of them playing to kill, literally!?!

Just a short note to congratulate Phil Blake on a wonderful career. I started following Manly in 1980 as a nine year old and will always remember the spectacular tries Blake scored in almost every game in 1982-83. Even after he left, he was always a favourite, and is probably the only Super League player I still have any time for.

All the best Phil. You were the best player never to have played for Australia in the last twenty years.

Congratulations on a great page and set up. Pity about the team you support. Manly are a buch of whinging wankas. They all have big heads and they can't play football. Nik Kosef is the most over rated player to have ever played the game. Geoff Toovey is shit. I wouldn't pick him in my NSW Team. A.Johns is a million times better than Toovey. Shannon Nevin has some talent but he won't handle my Roosters on sunday. Walker,Lam, Fittler and Co. will bombard him all day and he won't handle it. Hopoate is a big pansie and is a disgrace to rugby league. I also believe Ricketson, Gourley and Gaffey will be able to stop Menzies and Gartner who are your only two attacking weapons.

Don't get me wrong,I'll support Manly till the day I die(not like some Bronco fans that only follow them when they are winning),and I will eat humble pie about Craig Field,because last week he had a blinder when he came on.I think it's just a case of a guy who came from a team where he had to do everything,whereas now he doesn't have to.I'm afraid I'm still not convinced Scott Fulton is top grade material.Anyway,Iagree lets stick together and say 'Go The Eagles",and kick some Rooster butt!!!!!!!

I would just like to get this off my chest; I LOVE DAVID GILLESPIE AND I DON'T WANT HIM TO RETIRE!!!!!! He just can't! Who else am I going to perv on? I'm a huge Manly supporter but would love to see Norths go through to the Grand Final as well as Manly. It would prove just how ridiculous those silly ideas of a merger between the two sides really are. What a shame that Norths may have to relocate at some point to escape a merger when they are playing so well. Enjoyed watching Manly beat Newcastle on Sunday (as always!) but also got a big kick out of Norths coming back and kicking Parra out of the comp. What a gutsy effort. Continue to play well boys until the big one, but don't count on winning as the Eagles will probably end your dream run!
